As I was walking home from work today, I realized just how powerful the wind the can be. With each step, I was fighting a forceful breeze that tried to prevent me from advancing forward. The amount of strength that it took was more than imaginable. About half way home, I realized a very important life lesson - the wind is very much like the Spirit.
The Spirit is moving, but so many times we try to walk our own direction, rather than walk with the Spirit. Do you know how much strength and extra energy this takes? We become frustrated with life because we feel like we are not advancing, we are moving nowhere.
Today's mini-lesson reminded me that it is during these times that we need to stop and ask God to show us where He is moving so we can be swept up in His movement. The journey is much smoother when we are willing to follow Him!

Looking for Something More?
Are you looking for an opportunity to be challenged spiritually, experience real faith, and encounter missions? Check out these two amazing journeys that will connect you with other students your age desiring to live a life fully dedicated to serving Jesus Christ!
16days is a high school road trip geared to stretch you and train you along the way. There are also many adventure and team-building elements woven into it.
The Experience is an intense 45 day training event for those graduating high school through 20 something. The first few days are filled teachings from different KBM speakers. Once the training segment is finished, students will be flown to Liberia to put the trainings and teachings into action. This is an experience for anyone desiring to step outside of their current spiritual comfort zone as well as anyone considering missions for a future.

Moments of Remembering...
Today is a day that could have come much earlier than today. It is a day of moving on for us. As we load the stroller and car seat into the car for our friend's use, we quickly remembered the week of Thanksgiving and November 23. We remember the things that we would like today to be, but realize they can't be. Our hopes and dreams for ourselves with our son have been shattered. Words cannot express the tears that flow from an opened wound.
BUT, we are thankful that we serve a mighty God. A Great and Awesome God is He. Quickly, He reminds us to continue trusting in Him.
"Walk with me, there is a bright future is in store!"
We need to remember that there is no devastation too great for our God. He is truly a Healer, our Savior and Comforter, and Deliver in times such as these. For He sees every tear and knows our every thought. How Wonderful and Mighty is He!
